Data deletion instructions

You can ask Morasel to delete personal data we hold about you at any time, free of charge. This page explains exactly how to make that request and what to expect.

Which route applies depends on how your data reached us. If you have a Morasel account, you are asking about your own account data. If a business used Morasel to message you on WhatsApp, that business decides what happens to those messages — the section below explains why, and what we will still do to help.

In this case the business is the controller of that conversation and Morasel is its processor: we hold the messages on their behalf and act on their instructions. We cannot delete a business's records without their instruction, in the same way a printing company cannot shred a client's files on a third party's say-so.

Email privacy@morasel.ai anyway. We will identify which business holds the data, forward your request to them, and tell you who they are so you can contact them directly. If they instruct us to delete it, we carry that out.

To stop receiving messages immediately without waiting for any of this, reply STOP (or توقف) to the WhatsApp conversation. That takes effect at once and is independent of a deletion request.

We acknowledge every request within 5 business days and complete it within 30 days. If a request is complex enough to need longer, we will tell you before the 30 days are up, and why.

Deletion removes the data from our live systems immediately. Encrypted backups roll off on their normal retention schedule, so a copy may persist in backup for a short period afterwards; it is not restored to live systems, and it is not used for anything.

Deletion is one of several rights available to you. You may also request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or object to particular processing. Our Privacy Policy describes these in full, and the same address handles all of them.
