Answer shopper product questions on WhatsApp before they buy

Every pre-purchase question is answered from the product knowledge your team keeps in Morasel β€” and, for Shopify stores, from a catalog snapshot synced live with variant, price, and availability β€” with unknown stock always stated as unknown.

What breaks when agents guess product details

Without a shared catalog snapshot beside the thread, agents quote a price that changed last week, guess whether a variant is in stock, or send a shopper to a page that no longer exists.

  • An agent answers from memory and quotes a price or variant the store no longer carries
  • A stock question gets a guess instead of an honest "I don't know yet"
  • A shared product link points to a page that has since been removed from the store
  • Two agents give two different answers to the same variant question because neither is looking at the same data

What the agent sees beside the thread

Product, variant, price, and availability, answered from the product knowledge your team keeps in Morasel β€” and, for Shopify stores, from a catalog snapshot synced live with the store.

Product record
Title, description excerpt, and category, from the product knowledge your team keeps in Morasel β€” or, for Shopify stores, from the live-synced catalog snapshot.
Variant detail
Options such as size or color, and each variant's own price.
Availability state
Sellable, unavailable, or unknown β€” never a guess when the data can't confirm it.
Freshness marker
The knowledge entry's last-updated time, or the Shopify snapshot's last-synced time, shown whenever a detail might be stale.
Product link
A link to the item on your own store domain, withheld if the destination can't be confirmed.

How an agent gets a verified answer

The same lookup runs before an agent β€” or a saved reply β€” answers a product question.

  1. Customer asks about a product

A shopper asks about a product by name, or picks it from a shared catalog link.

  2. Morasel looks up the product knowledge

Title, variant, price, and availability are read from the knowledge entry your team keeps β€” or, for a Shopify store, from the live-synced catalog snapshot.

  3. Availability is checked, not assumed

The variant's state is checked against the knowledge entry or, for Shopify, the live snapshot; if it can't be confirmed, it's marked unknown.

  4. The agent replies with verified detail

The reply quotes the current record β€” the knowledge entry, or the Shopify snapshot β€” including a validated store link when one applies.

  5. Uncertain stock gets a straight answer

When availability data is stale or missing, the agent states it as unknown and offers to check further, instead of guessing.

What a product question looks like

One thread: a variant question answered from the catalog snapshot, and a stock question answered honestly.

What the team sees

Every conversation carries the same catalog data agents see, not a memorized answer.

  • Product, variant, price, and availability shown from the current catalog snapshot, not typed from memory
  • An explicit "unknown" state whenever stock data can't be confirmed as current β€” never shown as zero or as available by default
  • Only validated links to your own store domain go out; a broken or unrecognized destination is withheld
  • Every agent answer traceable to the same snapshot, so two agents never contradict each other

What this does not do

The catalog snapshot answers what your store's own product data says β€” it does not guarantee live inventory across every warehouse or location, and a count it cannot confirm is shown as unknown, never as a guess.

Product support questions

Do product answers work on WooCommerce, Salla or Zid?

Yes β€” the shared inbox, the product knowledge your team maintains, the unknown-stock rule, and human handoff work the same way for any store. Live catalog and variant availability sync is for Shopify stores.

What do you tell a shopper when stock cannot be confirmed?

The agent states availability as unknown, never as a guess, and offers to check further β€” a stale count is never presented as current.

Can an agent send a shopper the wrong product link?

No β€” only a link validated against your own store domain goes out. If the destination can't be confirmed, no link is sent.

How fresh is the catalog snapshot?

Every answer shows when that information was last updated β€” the knowledge entry's update time, or the Shopify snapshot's last-synced time for Shopify stores β€” so an agent, and a customer, know exactly how current a detail is.

Can a shopper check out directly in the WhatsApp thread?

No β€” a product question is answered here, but checkout happens on your store. The agent can share a validated link to the product page.

Is answering product questions billed per conversation?

Morasel does not meter conversations. Product support runs on your Morasel subscription β€” Core $49, Pro $99, Max $199, Enterprise on request, with a 14-day free trial and no card required. WhatsApp usage is billed separately from a prepaid wallet at Meta's official rates.
