Give agents a live-synced Shopify catalog snapshot on WhatsApp

Every conversation carries the product's title, variant, price, and availability from a Shopify catalog snapshot kept in live sync — so an agent never guesses a detail, states stock as unknown when it truly is, and only ever sends a validated link to your own store.

What breaks when agents guess product details

Without a live catalog snapshot beside the thread, agents quote a price that changed last week, guess whether a variant is in stock, or paste a product link that leads nowhere.

  • An agent answers from memory and quotes a price or variant that Shopify no longer has
  • A stock question gets answered with a guess instead of "unknown" when the data genuinely isn't current
  • A shared product link points to a deleted or unpublished product, or to a domain that isn't the merchant's own store
  • Two agents give two different answers to the same variant question because neither is looking at the same data

What the agent sees beside the thread

Product, variant, price, and availability, read from the same catalog snapshot Morasel keeps synced with Shopify.

Product record
Title, description excerpt, vendor, type, status, and handle, from Shopify's Product object.
Variant detail
Options, price, compare-at price, and the variant's own availability — never a silent fallback to a different variant.
Availability state
Sellable, unavailable, or unknown — built from publication, variant, inventory, and market rules, never from a raw inventory count alone.
Product link
A validated link to the product on the merchant's own storefront domain — withheld if the destination can't be confirmed.
Freshness marker
The snapshot's last-synced time, shown whenever a detail might be stale.

How an agent gets a verified answer

The same lookup runs before an agent — or a configured FAQ — replies to a product question.

  1. Customer asks about a product

A shopper asks about a product by name, or picks it from a shared catalog link.

  2. Morasel looks up the current snapshot

Title, variant, price, and availability are read from the synced catalog, not from an earlier note.

  3. Availability is checked, not assumed

The variant's sellable state is checked against publication, inventory, and market rules; if it can't be confirmed, it's marked unknown.

  4. The agent replies with verified detail

The reply quotes the current snapshot, including a validated merchant-domain link when one applies.

  5. Uncertain stock gets a straight answer

When availability data is stale or missing, the agent states it as unknown and offers to check further, instead of guessing.

What a product support conversation looks like

One thread: a variant question answered from the catalog snapshot, and a stock question answered honestly.

What the team sees

Every conversation carries the same catalog data agents see, not a memorized answer.

  • Product, variant, price, and availability shown from the current catalog snapshot, not typed from memory
  • An explicit "unknown" state whenever stock data can't be confirmed as current — never shown as zero or as available by default
  • Only validated, merchant-domain product links go out; a broken or unrecognized destination is withheld
  • Every agent answer traceable to the same snapshot version, so two agents never contradict each other

What keeps an answer honest

An agent's reply is bounded by what the catalog snapshot actually confirms.

  • Product lookup is agent- or FAQ-assisted — never an autonomous claim of what's in stock
  • A variant never silently substitutes for another; if the exact one requested can't be confirmed, the agent says so
  • Only Shopify-valid, merchant-domain-aware links are generated; nothing that could route to a stale or unrelated destination
  • Freshness is measured, not assumed — a stale snapshot is flagged rather than presented as current

What this does not do

Morasel does not claim product recommendations are autonomous, and it never states a variant's availability as current without a verified, fresh sync behind it. When freshness can't be confirmed, the agent sees and says "unknown" — never a guess dressed up as fact.

Product support questions

What does the agent see when a customer asks about a product?

Title, variant, price, and availability read from the same catalog snapshot Morasel keeps synced with Shopify — never a memorized answer.

What happens when stock data isn't current?

The agent states availability as unknown rather than guessing. Morasel never reports a stale count as current stock.

Can an agent recommend products automatically?

No. Product lookup is agent- or FAQ-assisted, not an autonomous recommendation engine.

Are the product links safe to tap?

Yes — every link is validated against your own storefront domain before it's sent. A broken or unrecognized destination is withheld.

How fresh is the catalog data agents see?

Each answer shows the snapshot's last-synced time, so an agent — and a customer — knows exactly how current a detail is.

Is the catalog sync billed separately from the plan?

No — the catalog snapshot comes with the Shopify connection. Product support runs on your Morasel subscription — Core $49, Pro $99, Max $199, Enterprise on request. WhatsApp usage is billed separately from a prepaid wallet at Meta's official rates.
